Zenless Zone Zero developer and publisher HoYoverse has announced that the game’s Version 1.2 update “Tour de Inferno” will launch on September 25, 2024. The update brings players to the outskirts of New Eridu called the Outer Ring, adds the new arcade game “Bizarre Brigade” at Godfinger, several events including “Overlord’s Feast,” and new game optimizations.
The journey into the Outer Ring is the next chapter in the game’s story where players work with the members of the Sons of Calydon, including Caesar, Burnice, and more, against the group’s rival, The Vanquishers, and Overlord Pompey. Caesar is an S-Rank Phbysical Defense Agent while Burnise is an S-Rank Fire anomaly Agent. Additionally, a new S-Rank Bangboo called Red Moccus, with its customized motorcycle, will also be introduced in Version 1.2.
Here’s a description of the two new playable characters from HoYoverse:
“Caesar, the leader of the Sons of Calydon, is an S-Rank Physical Defense Agent. Besides providing allies with a shield buff, she can also deal massive damage with her shield and debuff enemies once Perfect Block or Defensive Assist is triggered. The other new character, Burnice, is an S-Rank Fire Anomaly Agent who can deal an impressive amount of Fire damage and quickly accumulate Anomaly Buildup to Burn enemies with two flamethrowers.”
Players can also try out the new “Bizarre Brigade” time-limited survival shooting arcade game, which will be available at Godfinger. In-game events such as “Overlord’s Feast” will also be available, where players can receive in-game rewards including the playable Agent Lucy.
In Version 1.2, players will be able to automatically acquire all Observation Data and rewards on the TV board once they finish exploring the board for the first time. The presentation of the TV board will also be improved and accelerated in the update. Other optimizations include being able to preset their lineups for combat and switch the time freely. Lastly, the Backup Battery Charge will be added, giving players more stamina overall.
Zenless Zone Zero Version 1.2 will be launched on September 25, 2024. The game is currently available on PlayStation 5, PC, iOS, and Android.
