Transcend has announced the release of its new USB Type-C 4-port hub called the HUB2C. The device lets users transform a single USB Type-C port into four USB Type-A ports, allowing them to connect multiple USB Type-A devices to their laptops, tablets, and smartphones that are equipped with only a single USB Type-C connector.
The compact hub is equipped with four USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-A ports, which can be used to connect accessories and peripherals such as USB flash drives, keyboards, mice, and more to their main device. It measures only 73.8 x mm x 10.4 mm so it can easily fit into one’s laptop bag or backpack. It also weighs only 29 grams, making it barely noticeable when stored.
According to Transcend, the HUB2C is also compatible with the iPad Pro 2018 but images and videos have to be named according to the DCF (Design rule for Camera File system) standard to be viewable on the device.
The Transcend HUB2C is backed by the company’s two-year limited warranty although its local pricing has yet to be announced.
