PlayStation September State of Play Recap, Ghost of Yotei Announced

PlayStation held its latest State of Play broadcast last September 24, 2024, wherein the company announced quite a number of updates on its current and upcoming games, as well as a new line of PS5 accessories. Here’s a recap of the key announcements during the broadcast.

Ghost of Yotei

The big announcement during the State of Play broadcast is the unveiling of Ghost of Yotei, the follow up to Sucker Punch’s massively successful Ghost of Tsushima. 

Astro Bot

Team Asobi announced during the broadcast that Astro Bot will be getting a new update that adds new speedrun levels and 10 new Special Bots for players to rescue sometimes in Fall 2024.

Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered

PlayStation also announced that Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered from Guerrilla Games will be released on October 31, 2024, for both the PS5 and PC. The remaster will feature over 10 hours of re-recorded conversation, mocap, and many graphical improvements to take advantage of the power of the PS5.

LEGO Horizon Adventures

LEGO Horizon Adventures is also releasing on the PS5 this year on November 14, 2024. The new LEGO adventure based on the Horizon series is now available for pre-order, with several bonuses included.

Stellar Blade

Shift Up announced its upcoming Stellar Blade x NieR: Automata DLC, a new and now-available Photo Mode, and the release of the game’s soundtrack on over 30 streaming platforms.

PS5 Chroma Collection

Lastly, PlayStation announced its new Chroma Collection, a line of DualSense controllers and console covers for the PS5 (slim).
