PayMaya has announced the launch of its Verified Sellers program, which will offer safer transactions for both buyers and sellers using the PayMaya app. The program is designed to help protect customers from scammers and boost their confidence in online transactions.
“Filipinos are naturally enterprising – we have seen accelerated growth in the number of online sellers who are utilizing our PayMaya consumer app amid the pandemic. Online sellers need all the support they can, and we are very excited to provide them with embedded features such as the first verified sellers mark for an e-wallet app. With PayMaya Verified Sellers, we aim to grow the number of online sellers and buyers as we promote trust within this ecosystem,” said Shailesh Baidwan, PayMaya President.
To become a PayMaya Verified Seller, businesses will undergo an additional layer of screening to determine their legitimacy and good standing on top of the standard registration and upgrade process of the PayMaya app. Those who become PayMaya Verified Seller will get a special badge that will let customers identify them as a legitimate and trustworthy business.
PayMaya Verified Sellers can also be featured on PayMaya’s official social media pages as well as in the Maya Mall in the app to help them reach more customers. They will also have the opportunity to expand their monthly limit to PHP 1,000,000 to allow them to expand their businesses.
Businesses that are interested in becoming PayMaya Verified Sellers can begin the registration process by filling out the online form at https://www.paymaya.com/survey/verified-seller. The verification process can take around five business days.
