Overwatch 2 has been officially unveiled at BlizzCon 2019, confirming leaks that have been coming out for the last few months. The announcement was made via a new cinematic trailer as well as a gameplay trailer showing off some of the new features players can expect from the sequel.
Here’s a description of the new game from the released gameplay trailer:
“Overwatch 2 is the globe-spanning sequel to Blizzard Entertainment’s acclaimed team-based game, building upon the original’s battle-honed foundation and carrying forward everything players have earned into a new era of epic competition and team play. Square off against rivals in PvP modes, and explore the Overwatch universe firsthand in all new, fully cooperative missions that challenge the world’s heroes to team up, power up, and take on an overwhelming outbreak of threats around the globe.”
There’s no release date yet for Overwatch 2 but it was announced that all progress, skins, and more will carry over from the first game. You can check out the new cinematic trailer above and the gameplay trailer below:
