Lenovo has recently launched a new line of affordable dual-SIM smartphones into the local market. The new A series smartphones – the A269i, A369i, A516 and A850 – are powered by dual or quad-core processors and Android Gingerbread or Jellybean. Lenovo says the new smartphones are geared toward budget-conscious consumers as well as the “youth market” who want to be connected 24/7.
“After being named the world’s no.1 PC maker, we are now rapidly scaling our innovation to attack the vibrant smartphone and tablet market to become a PC Plus leader.” said Michael Ngan, Country General Manager, Lenovo Philippines.

The A269i, branded by Lenovo as “a simple smartphone that brings fun to your life”, is powered by a 1GHz dual-core CPU and 256MB of RAM. It features a 3.5-inch HVGA screen, a 2-megapixel rear camera, 512MB of internal storage, and microSD slot. It runs on Android’s Gingerbread OS and comes in “elegant black”.

The A369i, available in black or white, runs on a 1.3GHz dual-core CPU and Android’s Jelly Bean OS. It has a 4-inch WVGA screen, 2-megapixel rear camera, 512MB of RAM, 4GB of internal storage, and a microSD slot.

The Lenovo A516, in charcoal grey, has a 4.5-inch FWVGA IPS display, a 5-megapixel rear camera & 0.3-megapixel front facing camera, and runs on Android’s 4.2 Jelly Bean OS. A 1.3 GHz dual-core processor, and 512MB of RAM powers this “all-round smartphone”. Lenovo claims that the A516’s 2000mAh Lithium-polymer battery allows for up to 23 hours of non-stop talk time.

The A850, features a big 5.5-inch IPS display with a resolution of 540 x 960 pixels and a viewing angle of 178-degrees. It’s powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core CPU and 1GB or RAM and runs of Android 4.2 Jellybean. It also features a 5-megapixel rear camera, 4GB of internal storage, a microSD slot, and a 2250mAh Lithium-ion battery. The Lenovo comes in either black or white.
The Lenovo A516 and A369i are now available at Php5,999.00 and Php4,499.00 respectively while the Lenovo A269i and A850 will be available by the end of October at Php2,799.00 and Php9,999.00 respectively.
