Corsair has officially announced the Virtuoso RGB Wireless and Virtuoso RGB Wireless SE gaming headsets. The new headset now sits at the top of the company’s line of wireless gaming headsets above the popular HS70 and Void Pro RGB.
The Virtuoso RBG Wireless features a design that combines machined aluminum and soft foam cushioning that comes in either a carbon black or white. The Corsair logo on each earcup features RGB lighting that’s compatible with the company’s iCUE software. It’s powered by 50mm neodymium drivers with a frequency range of 20Hz – 40,000Hz and comes with a detachable omni-directional broadcast-grade microphone with a frequency response of up to 10,000Hz.
The new headset features a wireless battery life of up to 20 hours and is equipped with a smart sleep and wake function that automatically switches the headset off when its set down and turns back on when worn again.
For maximum usability and versatility, the Virtuoso is capable of being used on multiple platforms due to its multiple connection options. It can connect to PCs wirelessly via its Slipstream Wireless technology with the included USB dongle, wired through a USB cable to enable both high-fidelity 24bit/96kHz audio and immersive 7.1 surround sound, and through a 3.5mm four-pole connector for use with a wide range of devices.
Additionally, the Virtuoso RGB Wireless SE features more aluminum components, comes in a gunmetal color, more RGB lighting, and the included detachable microphone comes with a larger, 9.5mm microphone element for better performance. The SE also comes with a padded storage pouch for storage and transportation.
Both the Corsair Virtuoso RGB Wireless and Virtuoso RGB Wireless SE are backed by the company’s two-year warranty. There’s no word yet on local availability and pricing but we should hear more information on the new headsets soon.
