ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) has that the new ROG Crosshair VIII Impact motherboard, the latest and most powerful mini-DTX X570 motherboard the company has released for AMD AM4 processors, is now available int he Philippines.
The ROG Crosshair VIII Impact features AMD’s X570 chipset and supports AMD’s Ryzen series of processors including the latest 3rd gen processors all the way back to the 1st gen Ryzen chips with Radeon Vega graphics.
The new mini-DTX motherboard is the first Impact model in the company’s ROG Crosshair series. Despite being slightly taller than a mini-ITX motherboard, the Crosshair VIII Impact is compatible with most mini-ITX cases. The taller design allows the new board to feature more VRM and cooling components.
It features an 8+2 array of TDA21472 power stages (each rated to handle 70 amps) as well as a single-body, actively-cooled VRM and chipset-heatsink combo that’s cooled by dual Delta Superflo fans. The cooling assembly is also equipped with a copper heatpipe that channels heat towards the motherboard’s aluminum backplate for better heat dissipation.
With the amount of VRM and cooling components ASUS has equipped the ROG Crosshair VIII Impact with, the company has separated the storage, audio, and control features of the board onto separate boards. Firstly, the onboard control card puts the BIOS reset, clear CMOS, Q-Code display, and system reset button on the ear I/O panel.
The SupremeFX and ESS ES9023 DAC audio components are also on a separate card that’s mounted parallel to the motherboard below the video card slot. Lastly, there’s the bundled heatsink-equipped SO-DIMM expansion card for connecting up to two M.2 drives. The expansion card also features two PWM fan headers and an RGB header.
Other on-board features of the ROG Crosshair VIII Impact include two dual-channel DIMM slots for DDR4 memory modules, four SATA 6Gbs connectors, one RGB header, two addressable Gen2 headers, and a dedicated front panel header for two USB 3.2 Gen 2 and one USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports.
The rear I/O panel of the new motherboard features six USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports (including one Type-C port), two USB 3.1 Gen 1 ports, an SPDIF Out connector, Intel Wi-Fi 6 AX200 with an included antenna, Intel Gigabit Ethernet, and three LED-illuminated audio jacks.
The ASUS ROG Crosshair VIII Impact is now available in the Philippines for an SRP of PHP 23,320. It is available through the following retailers: ROG Concept Stores, Complink, Davao Futurebright Enterprises, IT World – Lazada, JDM Techno Computer Center, PC Hub, PC Quickbuys, Strategic Technologies, Tech2027 – Lazada, and Thinking Tools.
